Help Our Young Athletes Compete at the National Youth Games 2026

20,21,22 January 2026, Mapusa, Goa

Using Sports to Prevent Crime and Build Respect for Women

Sports Mentoring Infusion (SMI) is preparing a group of committed youth to represent their state at the *5th National Youth Games 2026, to be held in **Goa from 20–22 January 2026, organized by the *Youth Games Council India (YGCI).

For many young people from challenging backgrounds, sports is not just a game.
It is structure instead of chaos, discipline instead of distraction, and hope instead of helplessness.

This is a rare national-level opportunity.
And without timely support, it can slip away.

Why This Campaign Matters

At SMI, our mission goes beyond tournaments and medals.

Our long-term aim is to build a country free from crime by shaping character through sports β€” especially among boys and young men β€” so they grow up with respect, responsibility, and empathy, particularly toward women.

Through our sports-based mentoring model, we actively address Gender-Based Violence (GBV) by:

  • Teaching boys to respect and value women
  • Challenging harmful attitudes early in life
  • Using coaches as consistent role models
  • Turning the sports field into a space where values are practiced daily

When discipline, accountability, and empathy are built through sports, they naturally reflect in homes, streets, and society.

Who You Are Supporting

The youth representing SMI:

  • Come from urban slums, unstable homes, and difficult environments
  • Are first-generation athletes
  • Have stayed away from crime and addiction because sports gave them direction

For them, this championship is not just about performance.
It is about being trusted, valued, and given a fair chance.

Why We Need Your Support

To participate safely, responsibly, and with dignity, we need to raise β‚Ή4,00,000+ to support:

  • 12 youth athletes
  • 4 support staff (coach and essential support roles)

This includes travel, food, sports kits, medical readiness, and event-related expenses.
